Self catering Backpackers, R600 per room per night, bedding and towels not provided.
Situated at reception area where the Leopard trail starts and finishes, this is the perfect base to book for the night before and the night after you hike. The Backpackers consists of three separate rooms each with their own entrance. Each room has 4 single beds, solar power for lights and charging electronic devices, and a safe for valuables.
There is one communal bathroom with toilets and hot gas showers. There is a large, well equipped shared kitchen with gas fridge/freezer, gas stove top, hot running water and wash facilities. Connected to the kitchen is a covered veranda with a portable braai as well as a fire pit.
The rate is R600 per room per night – please bring your own sleeping bags, bedding and towels.
You can find relief on hot days in the large cement reservoir swimming pool that is available to all guests at Cedar Falls, fed by clear, fresh water from the mountain stream.
Please note that as we are in a World Heritage Site, we are unable to accommodate pets.
Check in is anytime from 3pm onwards, and check out by 9am. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier and leave later if you want to do walks, however please ensure you are out of your accommodation so that our team can start cleaning for the next guests.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Just for Two Cottage. We’ve stayed in some amazing places, but we have to say that Just for Two was the best place we’ve ever visited. Everything was just so thoughtfully laid out and it had the necessary luxuries, but the ideal level of simplicity and we still felt like we were on an adventure. The views from the cottage are truly spectacular! We loved making a fire and braaing at night, LOVED the hike up to the falls – swimming in the crystal clear pools and marvelling at the beauty of the kloof. We loved bathing under the stars and chilling in the somehow amazingly cool cottage during the hot afternoons – almost felt like you were stepping into aircon without the carbon footprint! 🙂
We truly had a wonderful, romantic time and loved the feeling of isolation – felt like we were the only two people on the planet. 🙂

Thank you for a wonderful stay on your farm and the charming Cobb’s Cottage. We were totally revived after just 2 days. The endless space and silence with only the sounds of nature, the invigorating swims under the waterfall, the moving Labyrinth walk and comfortable bed and bed linen all contributed to us leaving well rested and renewed.
I will certainly recommend your farm to others who seek to experience the Baviaanskloof. All the best on your endeavours ahead.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! It would be good to advertise that there are awesome little pools along the way to the waterfall so that those with little ones realize that it’s not necessary to go all the way to the waterfall pools. We had such a gorgeous time! And also really enjoyed the thunderstorm on our last night – we even sat outside together and my 2.5 son loved it! I hope we get back to visit again and maybe bring some friends along too. Thank you, I could feel that lots of energy and love has been invested into the farm. Willem and Marta were also great.

Baie dankie ons het baie lekker gebly,kuier en gestap tydens ons verblyf in Just for Two en Cob Cottage. Die twee verblyfplekke was baie lekker. Baie lekker gebly en gaan definitief weer die Baviaaans besoek.

Firstly I have to say that your website, communication process and follow-up is excellent. We had such a good time at Just for Two Cottage. It was exactly what we needed – and the type of accommodation and location that we adore. We managed to relax, walk and mountain bike and take a great ride home through the Nature Reserve yesterday on our way back home. Willem was excellent – a real asset [but I guess that you have heard that a few times before]. We will definitely return. It is such a stunning spot and lots to explore and do in the surrounding area.
