Surrounded by the red cliffs of the Baviaanskloof and with a beautiful view down the Cedar Valley, this farm house caters for the visitor who likes to nurture themselves in simple comfort and style. The century old house has been beautifully renovated to provide a tranquil and sheltered refuge among the rugged terrain of the kloof. There are four inside bedrooms and an outside room on the veranda. The rate is R3200 per night. Sleeping options in the Cedar Farmhouse include:
- One room with two single beds and one bunkbed
- Three twin rooms with two single beds in each
- Optional addition: outside veranda room with a bunk bed
There are two bathrooms with a showers. A spacious lounge, a large dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, and a beautiful wraparound veranda make you feel comfortable and at home. Close to the house is a braai/barbecue area set in a landscaped indigenous garden – a stunning setting for star-filled nights around the fire.
You can find relief on hot days in a large cement reservoir at the reception area fed permanently with water from the mountain stream.
Please note that due to us being in a World Heritage Site, we are unable to accommodate pets.
Check in is anytime from 2pm onward, and check out by 10am. Guests are welcome to arrive earlier and leave later if you want to do walks, however please ensure you are out of your accommodation so that our team can start cleaning for the next guests.
Please note this is un-serviced accommodation, though for stays of four days or more we will organise to have the farmhouse cleaned and new linen and towels provided. Please make sure that you arrange this when you make your booking and before your arrival.
