Leading the Way

In Conservation and Community Development

Infographics on what you should know about the Leopard Trail Project….
The Leopard Trail is implemented through a great team of 4 incredible partners.  Over the years this team has created  amazing projects that are now famous amongst tourists as landmarks in the Baviaanskloof area – including Vero’s Restaurant, The Baviaans Craft Shop and Cob Cottage.  Our proud partners:
Our community are the backbone of every project.  Working through our project champions, it is the integrity, perseverance, commitment and initiative of each person that makes the projects work.
The project is implemented on the ground through the Another Way Trust (AWT), a registered Not for Profit Organisation (NPO). Our purpose is to support social and economic transformation in the Baviaanskloof.  Our beneficiaries are the historically disadvantaged community of the Baviaanskloof.
The Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA) is the official provincial agency tasked with managing the Baviaanskloof World Heritage Reserve.  The ECPTA has a strong People and Parks approach, making conservation work for local communities.
Baviaans Tourism is an official structure of the Baviaans Municipality, tasked to develop and promote tourism in the area.  They have a strong record of great community projects, and a long history of partnering with the Another Way Trust.
